Koala Ohana didn’t start as a business.
It started as a mindset.
The name “Koala” came from a personal philosophy that took shape back in 2017 — something simple, but powerful. A reminder to stay grounded, steady, and resilient… even in the rain. Over time, that idea became more than just a thought. It became part of how I approached life, and eventually, part of who I was.
And somewhere along the way, I grew to genuinely love koalas too.
What started as a personal symbol slowly evolved into something bigger.
Built from two worlds - Vermont & Philippines
Where It Began
Long before Koala Ohana existed, there were small pieces already in motion.
In 2016, a lakefront property in Vermont became one of the first “escapes” — a place where people could step away, slow down, and reconnect. Years later, in 2024, we purchased a condo in Manila, with the intention of creating something similar on the other side of the world.
Two places.
Two very different environments.
But the same feeling.
That’s when it clicked.
The Moment It Became Something More
While finishing renovations in Manila, the idea finally came together.
We weren’t just creating properties.
We were creating experiences.
Two locations turned into a concept:
Koala Escapes
And from there, everything expanded.
What started as a simple idea grew into something deeper — a collection of experiences, ideas, and future plans that all connected back to one thing:

Not just as a name, but as a foundation.

Family isn’t perfect.
